Though many people consider me a workaholic, I would like to think that I am just dedicated.  I have worked really hard to become the best insurance representative in our company and it has been a long road.  But there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow – I finally got the promotion that I have been working towards.

But instead of starting the new position right away, the boss decided that I needed a break to collect my thoughts, recharge, and be ready for my new duties.  It has been a couple of years since I have taken a vacation, so I just couldn’t say no – I left the next day for a little coastal resort that I used to visit as a child.

I picked up a copy of the beach guide on my way there.  I am a sucker for sitting on the beach and getting a tan, but since it had been so long since I visited this corner of the world, I thought that it would make more sense to know where I could go without having to ask around to find out.

This is day four of my vacation and it feels great to finally have some time for myself.  Hopefully, I won’t have to work so hard in my new position and I can do this more often.
