Health insurance is so confusing isn’t it? First you need to figure out what type of insurance coverage to get. Then you have to deal with copays, submitting claims, filing appeals on claims that get denied, etc. Even trying to read a health insurance statement is confusing with all of its “allowed amounts” and “billed amounts” and “owed amounts”. So who do you turn to when you need help with health insurance questions? I’m starting to realize that the average Joe in any given field of health is the person to ask when it comes to most health insurance questions.
Let’s say that I need to buy a CPAP mask but my health insurance company is telling me that the mask that I bought isn’t covered under my health insurance plan. I could spend days on the phone with the company getting the runaround about the issue. Or I could go to the nearest CPAP supply store and ask the clerks behind the counter what their experience has been with this. Chances are that either they or their customers have dealt with this issue before and someone’s figured out how to handle it with the health insurance company. Doctors and health insurance professionals can be useful in answering some questions but usually I just ask the Average Joe.

Businesses that do direct mailing can make use of technology to improve their efforts. There are many different tools available today which can make the results of a direct mail marketing campaign much more successful than they were in the past.
For example, you can use software that will assist you in writing a good direct marketing letter. There is software out there which can take the letter that you’ve written and break it down into components to revise it for better customer readability. This makes it more likely that the customer you target will read and understand your direct mail.
You can also use today’s geolocation technology to improve your direct marketing campaigns. If you send out a campaign which includes delivery maps then you’ll want to make sure to target only those people who are within your delivery area. Today’s online mapping services make this process much more accurate than in the past.
Good direct mail is about so much more than just getting the right direct mailing lists. Technology is here to help us. Software is particularly useful to us when we’re trying to improve direct marketing. Getting with the technological times will allow us to take a historically good marketing tool (the tool of direct mail) and bring it up to twenty first century standards.

It’s back to school time. And that means it’s time for back to school shopping. Normally this would be an inconvenience at the worst. But this year is different. My hours at work have been cut in half over the last few months because business has been horrible. And when the hours get cut, the paychecks are not as big. I’m already struggling to make ends meet. The last thing I needed right now was a list of school supplies for the little ones.
Unfortunately this is one of those situations where you can’t just bury you head in the sand. It was time for action. I needed cash. I mentioned this to one of my coworkers and she said that she had recently had gotten cash for gold jewelry that she never wore anymore.
So I went home and raided the jewelry box. There are a couple of pieces that I wear pretty often, and they were right there on top. But stashed under that level was a bunch of old jewelry that had not been worn in years. I picked out my least favorite pieces and took them in to sell the scrap gold. Not only was I able to get enough cash to cover the school supplies, but I even picked up a few new outfits and new shoes for the kids.

Insurance can be confusing. Different types of insurance work differently. If you need to get a type of insurance that you’ve never had before then you might not be sure what to get. You could call a professional insurance provider to get a quote. However, a better idea is to turn to the customers that actually use the insurance. They are the ones that will be able to tell you what to get and what to avoid.
Let’s say that you’re employed as a doctor. You will probably want to consider getting disability insurance for physician professionals. You could call a physician disability insurance agency to learn about this type of insurance. However, wouldn’t it be better to talk to your colleagues? Ask them if they have this insurance and how they chose it. Ask what they like and don’t like about the insurance that they use.
You don’t have to be looking at advanced insurance to do this. And you also don’t need to talk to people in person if you’re not comfortable with that. You could use online forums and social networks to ask others about their insurance. This can help you make smarter choices on everything from health insurance to pet insurance. Sometimes your peers are the best people in the world to give you advice.

I’ve had my my Great Dane for just about 5 years now. In terms of the life span of his breed, that’s about middle aged or so. He’s been a great pet, was well trained and I’ve never had an incident where he needed to be punished or reprimanded beyond a simple vocal scolding.
Recently, I had the opportunity to take on a beautiful Chesapeake Bay Retriever and jumped at the chance. I have always been fascinated by their thick, water repellent coats of lovely dark brown colors with deep red overtones.
Well, now I’m wishing I had waited a few weeks on taking the second dog. I was already practically pleading with my landlord about not charging me extra pet deposits for my Dane. Even though he’s a huge dog, none could be more friendly and docile when indoors. Try telling a small sized man that owns the house you live in that a dog nearly as tall as he is (when on his hind legs, of course) is not a threat to his investment!
Well, I showed up on moving day with my Great Dane as well as the new Chessie, and I’m pretty sure the landlord had a cow. He was satisfied however, that I had secured renters insurance that would cover any potential pet related damage so my dogs and I were good to go!
