When you purchase a custom designed home, your relationship with the builder you select is paramount to the successful completion of the project. That’s more than simply laying the last brick, so to speak, but involves assuring your ultimate satisfaction. After all, you’re the one who will own the home, not the builder. Working with Stuart, Florida custom home builders to design and construct your dream home requires a heightened level of trust between both parties…and that trust can only be built and strengthened through quality customer service akin to that described in Building Edge Magazine’s July 2008 article about Arthur and Barry Rutenberg. In a business agreement, nothing is more assuring than a genuine sense of trust, just like that you will experience with this Stuart, Florida custom home builder. More true than the statement “The customer is always right,” is the idea “The customer is always top priority.” If you think about it…the former statement is really quite silly. If the customer was always right, then he or she would construct his or her own house and not bother to hire a Martin County home builder. Arthur Rutenberg Homes strives to place you, the customer, as the top priority, resulting in surpassing satisfaction.

Thousands of small businesses get started every year, but not all of them are started the "right" way — with careful planning. Many sole proprietors and small business owners overlook important things when they are starting their businesses. Some things are no big deal, but others can be quite detrimental to their business’s success.
For example, many business owners forget to think about getting business insurance. You probably already know that you need things like health insurance for your employees, car insurance for business vehicles, and workers compensation insurance (i.e. injuries and/or unemployment), but you may not realize that there are other types of business insurance — some of which are imperative to the continued operation of your business.
- Property insurance is very important if you run a small business. If you own commercial real estate, you’ll want to insure it — but even if you lease, you’ll need to insure everything inside your store, such as your merchandise. For example, if you become an eBay trading assistant, you’ll definitely want to get property insurance — if something happens to your store and your clients’ items are ruined, you could end up owing a lot of money for damages!
- Liability insurance is also very important. Usually liability insurance is all but required in service positions — for instance, I used to know someone who cleaned and organized wealthy people’s homes, and to protect herself she was bonded and insured. My horse trainer is also insured. Likewise, if you have an eBay drop off store, you’ll be handling people’s valuables — you’ll probably want to be insured in case something is damaged and a customer decides to sue you.
- Business interruption insurance is just as important as the others, thought probably a little less commonly known. Virtually every business, even some of the best franchises to buy, experience slow times. Sometimes, through no fault of your own, you’ll find that you are suddenly unable to keep your business running for a certain period of time — for example, because of a natural disaster or a problem with machinery. Business interruption insurance protects you from the loss of income and profits during such a time.
As you can see, business insurance is pretty important. Make sure you don’t overlook these types of insurance, as doing so could do irreparable damage to your business!

The point of disability insurance is to protect your income in the event that you are unable to work. Hopefully, the coverage your disability insurance policy offers will allow you to pay your bills and cover day-to-day expenses until you are well again. However, the majority of disability coverage options out there cover you only in the event that you are unable to do any sort of work.
An example is: a worker who spends the majority of their time on their feet – such as a nurse – has an accident and is unable to remain on her feet for more than ten minutes at a time. She can’t continue working as a nurse, but not all disability insurance companies would pay out on her claim, because she could do an administrative job that was desk-based.
In these circumstances, the best protection comes from a type of policy known as own occupation disability insurance. Own-occ policies, as they’re commonly known, are designed to protect you in the event that you’re unable to do your exact job – so the nurse in our example would be entitled to compensation regardless of whether she could get job doing something else. Both doctor and dentist disability insurance providers offer own-occ policies.

There is something about those Canadian Rockies coach tours that is very fun. There is a reason they are one of the premier Canada tours and a popular choice for skiers and snowboarders everywhere. But more important is how incredibly enjoyable it is to do with your family.
Have you ever taken your kids to the snow before? If you haven’t you are truly missing out. Kids love the snow, they can do almost anything with it. But you, as a parent, will love the snow too, because it will give you the opportunity to throw snowballs at your kid for all the times they never cleaned their room.
Revenge is sweet.
Really, any Canada ski vacations are a good choice, but the Rockies are the most popular destination for those looking for that area. The snow up there is crisp and clean, it breathes well, and overall it is just more fun to be up there in the mountain and get tan lines around your now goggles or something else very similar. Few other places offer the same type of fun as the Canadian Rockies. You and your family will no doubt have one of the best times of your lives, so much so that you will likely continue to go back every day you can.

People who operate a small business often don’t realize that they should get insurance for the equipment that they are using to keep the business going. This is a particularly important issue for small businesses that are leasing their equipment but it is something that all businesses should think about whether they are renting their equipment or they own it outright.
There are many different reasons that you might need insurance for your equipment. The equipment might break down and therefore your productivity and profits will be stalled - plus you’ll have to pay to repair the equipment. Or you might become the victim of business theft and lose the equipment entirely in which case you’ll have to pay to replace it.
Of course, not all equipment in a business would need to be insured. Let’s say that you’re in a business that does a lot of paper cutting. You use things like paper cutters and rotary paper trimmers. You would want to insure large and expensive equipment, like your commercial stack cutter. But you wouldn’t need to insure all of your equipment; the guillotine cutter can probably go insured. Avoid the problems that come with being uninsured by making sure to insure the right equipment in your small business office.
