Insuring Human Body Parts and Talents

We insure a lot of different things in our lives. We insure our homes and our cars. We insure our pets and our health. But most people don’t go so far as to insure their body parts. That is, unless you’ve got a reason to do so. If you’re someone who has a livelihood that requires your body to remain in perfect condition, it can be a good investment to take out insurance to protect yourself from financial harm in the event that something changes with your body.
For example, let’s say that you’re a spokesperson for Washington D C cosmetic dentistry services such as Washington DC invisalign braces. Your career depends on the beauty of your teeth and you may not want to rely on your Washington D C dentist to assure you that your teeth will always be perfect. Instead, you might want to insure them.
Of course, the average person isn’t going to do this. It’s something that’s typically only done by celebrities whose bodies are their commodities. Celebrities started insuring their bodies back in the 1920’s and continue to do so to this day. But as the line between fame and an average life blurs, we may find more and more common people taking out this kind of insurance.
