Making a Statement with Business Furniture

Did you buy your business furniture with an eye towards what it cost or with an eye towards the design? If you skimped on the style because you wanted to save some money, you could have caused yourself to lose out on long term profits. That’s because the furniture that you have in your office makes a bold statement to the clients and investors that see you working there.
Think about being a client walking into the following three offices and you’ll see the point:
- Office #1. An open office with a wall of windows and high ceilings. The furniture is light, airy and made of modern materials.
- Office #2. A small office with a few simple furniture items. A wooden office desk forms the centerpiece for the room and is complimented by dark wood bookcases and simple wooden shelving.
- Office #3. A mid-sized office filled with mismatched furniture. A leather office chair sits at a wooden desk, a metal table is flanked by plastic chairs and the flooring clashes with the walls.
Which type of office would you feel most comfortable working in? The answer says a lot about who you are and what type of clients you’ll attract. This makes it worth taking some time to really think about the interior design of your office space and the long term impact it may have.
